About The Leavitt File
The Leavitt File is an independent commentary publication. It exists to do one thing: assemble a complete, sourced, chronological account of the public career of Karoline Claire Leavitt, the 36th White House Press Secretary and the youngest person ever to hold that office.
Why this publication exists
Leavitt is one of the most polarizing communications figures in modern American politics, and almost nobody writes about her without immediately picking a side. Conservative outlets treat her as the operator who broke the legacy-press monopoly. Progressive outlets treat her as a case study in how a briefing room gets weaponized. Both are describing real things, and neither on its own is a complete account.
This series attempts the complete account: 20 posts, roughly 10,877 words, running in publication order from her New Hampshire childhood through her August 2026 resignation. Where the evidence supports her, we say so. Where it does not, we say that too.
Who publishes it
The Leavitt File is published and edited by a single independent editor based in the United States, writing under the publication's name rather than a personal byline. We do not invent staff, fabricate author biographies, or present the publication as larger than it is. It is one editor and a clearly stated method.
The editor is reachable at techeternals25@gmail.com and responds to correction requests, factual disputes, and right-of-reply requests from anyone named in our coverage. See our contact page.
How it is produced
Research is compiled from published reporting by established news organizations, court records, and primary documents. Drafting is assisted by AI tools; every post is then reviewed, fact-checked against the linked sources, and edited by a human before publication. We disclose this because we think readers are entitled to know how what they are reading was made. Our full method is documented on the editorial standards page.
How it is funded
The Leavitt File is funded by display advertising. We accept no payment, consideration, or direction from any political campaign, party, candidate, PAC, advocacy organization, or government body, and we have no financial relationship with any person covered in this series. Advertising is sold programmatically; advertisers have no influence over editorial content and no advance notice of what we publish.
What this publication is not
We are not a news wire and we do not do original newsgathering. We do not have reporters at the White House. This is analysis and commentary built on the reporting of organizations that do, and we credit and link every one of them. If you want the primary reporting, follow the source links — they go to the outlets that did the work.
